The game is a new addition in Japan’s market as well, as it was only recently announced in the latest edition of Dengeki Playstation as Shin Yomawari a couple of days ago. It seemed like the prequel’s success encouraged NIS America to immediately announce a western release right after the Japanese one.
An overview of the game, given by NIS America, is as follows:
It has been confirmed that Midnight Shadows’ map will be more than twice that of the original Yomawari. Just like its prequel, Midnight Shadows will use a quarter-view camera that will change to a side view once you enter special locations.
More locations can be explored, including a western-styled mansion and libraries. There is no mention of new ghosts or monsters that players can encounter yet, but we can hope for more announcements closer to the release date.
So far, NIS America has only stated “Fall 2017” as its launch window, with no exact date, but we will update you once NIS America release more details. If you can’t wait to get scared, though, the Japanese version will be released on August 24. Both releases of Yomawari: Midnight Shadows will hit PS4 and PS Vita, while its western release will additionally receive a Steam version.
